Hi! My name is Shakar (you can call me whatever you want, though) and I’m one of those non-nostalgic old players. I played GMS since Beta, but got kind of sick of it after around 4 years of playing. I quit for a year, but came back and joined KMS around two years ago. I got sick of KMS quickly as well (I guess I’m growing too fast), and so I decided to open this blog. I started blogging on New Year’s day in 2011, but I had little to no success in the beginning. As more revamps came and I managed to shamelessly advertise my blog, it became much more popular.

I do realize that some posts are released too early or WAY too late. My high school (yeah, I’m relatively young) requires me to do a ridiculous amount of work because it’s one of the top schools in the area, and therefore I rarely have time to blog. I still do it, and I enjoy it, but it takes a while to write up a post as well as I would want to.

Well, anyway, because I upload a lot of APNG’s, this blog is best viewed in Firefox or Opera browsers.

If you have Google Chrome, go to the Chrome Web Store and look for the app called “APNG”. Install it and you’ll be able to view APNG’s!

APNG’s will NOT work on Internet Explorer or Safari, so please get one of the browsers discussed above.

    • Wow, must be annoying. It’s not that I don’t have my own computer, I simply don’t have it temporarily.
      As for your blog, I see it’s in its really early stages. Just a tip : add what the blog is about, because when I have no idea what it’s about.

  2. Good luck, Shakar. With Spadow’s untimely leave, you must work harder for compensate GMS’s very hard-earned respect. You must *try* to update faster, put in more depth when you can, and, of course, be very sociable with your new community. I have seen your guide many times, and I must say, you have done a fabulous job. Keep up the good work Shakar. 🙂

    i also found some cannoneer info in the MS files. i think they r there since rise of the fellowship patch.

  10. Hey Shakar, I came up with a build for Buccaneers and I want to get a true brawlers opinion on it. It took me about 12 hours to work on. Please just take the time to read it and please consider some of the ideas.       3rd job – Exactly what Nexon would do, move all the 4th job skills there. Slide Kick Drive – cool, Flying Assaulter! Spirit Charge – Wouldn’t it be like Combo Charge?
      4th job – Hyper Transformation: 90% knock-back resistance? Might as well make it 100 :). Devastation – 100% DEF IGNORED?! Should probably lower that. Ultimate Barrage & Dragon Fist – Exactly what we need! Dragon Fist is WAY too OP, though (1500% damage?! And with Charge Booster!?!?!).
      Aside from that, it looks pretty good. However, there are way too many charge skills. Might want to change that :).

      • Thanks for the reply, the reason I put corkscrew like that is for easier training for 2nd job and to keep up and be on par with the Mercedes with their charge drive that they get second job; I decreased the damage of corkscrew so its not OP. Spirit Charge is just like Combo Charge you know to increase the brawlers damage. Hyper Transformation 90% knock-back resistance is fine putting it to 100% would make Devastation OP. Also I was thinking of just taking the 100% def ignore off, it was a last minute thought and Devastation would be strong enough without the def ignore. Maybe Dragon Fist would be a little to OP but I do think we deserve a skill that can hit multiple enemies multiple times… idk maybe i can change it to like 5 hits of 180%. I put the charge skills in to replace energy stuff like charge, orb, blast, and drain. Sorry to sound like an Otaku and I know that Buccaneers are not Super Saiyans but the main reason I put the the Charge Skills was to power up like they do in DBZ and to slow down the Buccaneer to not make it so OP.

      • Well, it’s still a little OP. I agree that pirates should be powerful, but if we’re TOO powerful, we would be hated and people would bandwagon it. That’s the downside of a revamp.

      • Naw the DEF ignore is not needed… Devastation is like a Hurricane for Buccaneers so adding DEF ignore is kinda OP; like I said adding the DEF ignore was a last second idea. I really don’t see how my build is OP; yes it is strong but there are restrictions such as the charge bar and you have a 1 minute cooldown for hyper transformation after its deactivated which keeps the Buccaneer in its place.

      • I decided to just completely remove the charge skills and any skill that would have charge on it such as the charge required for hyper transformation and dragon fist will be removed and skills like Spirit Charge and Charge Booster will be complete removed… so now i have to put new skills in 3rd job and 4th job… I’m going to put back in stun mastery in 3rd job, it is fairly good when grinding and in my build there are a lot more skills that can stun such as Backspin Blow, Sky Uppercut, and Slide Kick Drive which are skills that will be very essential for grinding for all jobs of pirate. Stun Mastery just needs some editing like:

        -Stun Mastery: When attacking a monster that’s stunned, the critical attack will be triggered at a set rate and damage.
        -Level 1: 11% critical hit chance of a stunned enemy with 11% critical damage
        -Level 2: 12% critical hit chance of a stunned enemy with 12% critical damage
        -Level 3: 13% critical hit chance of a stunned enemy with 13% critical damage

    1) if black mage made BigBang it means that after he will be defeated in the storyline maple world return to pre BB?
    2) do u think that maple will be revamped once agian? i mean like BigBamg(A Totla game revamp) and not just like legend and jump and all this….?

    now it is d/cing me 24/7 and if you know when is maple going to get rid of it plz reply to me i have a gf and she IS going to break up with me tell me with me. TELL ME WHEN MAPLE IS GOING TO RID OF IT.
