KMST v.1.2.425 ~ Mihile!

Unexpectedly, a patch hit KMST today and the new job, Mihile, or rather Mikhail, was released! I’d like to start with, HA! to everyone who thought it was an April Fool’s joke. Most of you will complain about my negativity again, but I’ll start off by saying that this job, overall, sucks -_-. It’s not an adventurer like I thought, it’s actually a new branch of jobs. I’m guessing we’ll see every single Cygnus Knight instructor now.

Anyway, I didn’t get to test it yet because I just came back from my tutor. To be updated in a couple of hours~.

Like always, because I always make SOME stupid mistake, I translated all these skills twice. Ugh, Visual Studio, I hate you.

Background

[youtube:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qtkdQ0DrPW8%5D

The tutorial explains how Empress and Neinheart chose Mikhail (or Mihile) to be their warrior. Must I provide anymore explanations?

Mihile starts out with this look (not that it matters to you GMS people). Yay for FREE metro hair~

They changed his looks. Instead of starting with a metro hair, Mihile starts like this:

Females start like that also. In fact, Mihile is gender locked. You can only be a male.

After all the tests are done, Mihile becomes a warrior! Some facts about Mihile~

  • He counts like a Cygnus. Therefore, he gets 10% EXP every time he levels up and your blessing skill is affected by him. Your blessing skill can go up to level 24, though, so after level 120 you won’t affect it. HOWEVER, you can do quests to raise it up to level 30!

  • He gets the Echo of Hero skill at level 120!

  • He can create an Ultimate Adventurer at level 120!
  • He gets a shield (a Soul Shield) at every job advancement that upgrades with each level which you can’t unequip, similar to Demon Slayer’s Force Shield.

1st job:

+10 Weapon DEF, +5 Magic DEF. Levels up 4 times, adding 5 Weapon DEF and 3 Magic DEF after each level.

2nd job:

+150 MaxHP, +30 Weapon DEF, +15 Magic DEF. Levels up 4 times, adds 5 Weapon DEF, 3 Magic DEF, and 50 MaxHP with each level.

3rd job:

This is actually at MAX level, my bad. At level 1, +7 STR, +7 DEX, +350 MaxHP, +60 Weapon DEF, +30 Magic DEF. Levels up 4 times, adds 5 Weapon DEF, 3 Magic DEF, 50 MaxHP, 1 STR, and 1 DEX with each level.

4th job:

+12 STR/DEX, +600 MaxHP, +110 MaxMP, +85 Weapon DEF, +45 Magic DEF. Levels 10 times, but adds different stats every time.

  • He gets a Link Skill, Guardian of Light – Stance effect for 90 seconds, 180 second cooldown.
  • Max level is 200.
  • Ereve is different for Mihiles. First, there are no instructors. Also, Neinheart and Cygnus are both really young:

The skill we max after that, Soul Agility, is maxed for the same purpose, to increase your speed and jump. Next is Soul Shield to improve your shield’s abilities. Finally, we can max Soul Blade to improve its damage and simply make it a better skill.

2nd Job

[youtube:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sN010XILe6E%5D [youtube:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jJGN4EIHGIQ%5D

Job Advancement

The second job advancement is pretty difficult. At level 28, you’ll get a light bulb which will ask you to go see Matthias (마티어스) in Kerning City, which is this guy:

Matthias will send you to a map with an immobile (it doesn’t move, which pissed me off) Tae Roon:

He has 65,000 HP, and you have no bossing skill. Good luck~

The next quest will ask you to get 50 Mud Clumps (which was 100 Tortie Shells in KMST) from Muddy Swamp Monsters:

Last thing you have to do is kill Dyle, the area boss.

In KMST, you had to kill Dyle, along with Stumpy, Faust, and Zombie Mushmom. Lucky they changed it, because Faust is REALLY annoying.

Anyway, finish that quest at level 28 and wait till you’re level 30 to advance (by going to Neinheart).

10 Physical Training [MAXED]

Explanation:
We start off with 1 SP into Soul Driver and 1 into Shining Chase because those are your ownly active skills. We then put 5 SP into Sword Mastery so you can start putting points into Sword Booster. We leave it at 6, so your booster lasts for 6 seconds. For more STR/DEX, we quickly max Physical Training, and then for obvious reasons, we max Sword Mastery. Since Soul Driver is your main mobbing skill, that’s the next thing you’ll max. After that, since many of you may start PQ’ing (or, if you don’t, the ATT bonus is still very nice), you can max Rage. Since a 60-second booster is annoying, we’ll max Sword Booster so it lasts for a longer amount of time. Last skill we max is Final Attack, which increases your DPS/DPM at higher levels. We dump the rest of our skill points into Shining Chase, which is a pretty useless skill used only to push through monsters.

Explanation:
As always, we start off with putting 1 SP into all our active skills. The first thing we actually max, however, is Soul Charge. Soul Charge is useful because it increases your damage by a lot. Right after that, we max Intention because it’s a nice STR and attack speed bonus. Since Shining Buster is our main mobbing skill, it’s the next skill you’ll max. As you’re starting to fight bosses, maxing Soul Endure is useful to add Abnormal Status & Elemental Resistance. Soul Slash is great for bossing as well because, actually, it’s your only bossing skill for now. Maybe you didn’t notice, but every skill you got up to this point was a mobbing skill (even though Soul Slash is also a mobbing skill, technically, it’s still the only skill that you can use when fighting bosses). Last two skills that are useful for bossing are Soul Attack, which deals extra damage when a boss has an abnormal status, and Magic Crash, which can get rid of these abnormal status. We put the rest of our skill points into Self-Recovery so you can heal extra HP and MP every 4 seconds. We don’t max it because all the other skills are more important to max, and there isn’t much of a difference between it being at level 21 or 30.

4th Job

[youtube:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wys8ODvEC9U%5D

Job Advancement

[youtube:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FO2ZvGQgEIs%5D

As you can see in the video above, 4th job advancement is very similar to the 3rd job one. Go to Ereve and talk to Neinheart, and he’ll send you to a flat map.

In the map, many Dazed Warriors will appear. You have to kill only 100 and go back to Neinheart. Hooray! You’re now a 4th jobber.

After you advance, the Empress will look much older because she’ll give you the Ultimate Adventurer quest. Also, you’ll get the Echo of Hero skill.

Thunder Breaker
Barrage
Damage Decreased by 110% (230% at max level -> 120% at max level).

Energy Blast
Damage Decreased (500% at max level -> 260% at max level).

Other Changes

  • Spiegelmann’s Strange Gallery theme dungeon was added! You have to be level 50~120 and you can access it through Dimensional Door.

Unlike other theme parks, all the quests start by 1 NPC. And that is, Spiegelemann:

The room is filled with pictures. In each quest, he will ask you to click on a certain picture to be teleported to some area that’s similar to other areas in the Maple World. For example, the first picture sends you to a map like Leafre:

He will then give you quests to kill monsters, that are your level, that are found in that area. Sooo, in Leafre, he told me to kill rashes & harps.

So, in short, Spiegelmann is sending you to other maps to do quests. You just teleport there through the pictures.

  • Mushroom Castle was changed, in terms of monsters’ stats and quests’ EXP.
  • You are now able to choose with which ID you want to log in, Maple ID or Nexon ID:

  • New things added to Cash Shop:

Uh the keys let you wear something 5 or 10 levels ahead of your level. And yeah, that’s pretty much the only interesting thing (aside from a new pet!). Oh and FULL SP/AP reset scrolls.

  • Not going into to detail about the events (negative moment here – they’re really lame anyway), but new events:

Uh? What’s that hat?!

OMG hat for Mihile, what do you know. +10 All Stats, +100 MaxHP/Max MP, +100 Weapon/Magic DEF, 10 slots, with a +5 on all stats, +5 ATT, and +100 Accuracy bonus for 3rd/4th job Mihiles. This means that Mihile is coming this Thursday!

Videos are coming tomorrow, when it gets unglitched -_-.

  1. “I’ll start off by saying that this job, overall, sucks -_-. It’s not an adventurer like I thought, it’s actually a new branch of jobs.”

I’ll start off by saying that this job is the best Warrior, combining mobility, damage and blonde bishounen style. Ever since Slayers were ruined forever by a double nerf (by being nerfed AFTER everything else was already buffed), warriors have needed a new fun class that’s as mobile as Slayers but stronger than the average Pally or Drk.

As for it being a new job, that much was obvious from the start. Not only were Cygnus Knights always separate from adventurers, but the Knight Instructors are NPC classes like the 5 heroes (Mercedes, Aran, Phantom, LUFFY, Evan). And that’s awesome. Especially since they’re the spiritual successors to the original Knight classes, complete with 4th jobs and everything, which solves the biggest problem with the Cygnus Knights. Cygnus is once again a class worth playing.

Because Mikhail ihas been revealed to be Glgamesh, KING OF HEREOS and summoner of infinite flying swords, I for one can’t wait to see the other 4 “fourth job Knights.” Especially the Archer and Pirate. My fingers are crossed for Unlimited Blade Works and Super Saiyan 3. The Archer will probably get an AOE nuke arrow while the Pirate will get teleport. And the conservative Maplers who hate all that is new will HHHHHNNNNNNGGG from the sheer awesomeness of this new batch of parodical content. Free from their complaining, we can instead start complaining about something that actually matters. Like Nexon taking two months to patch just one bug, never being able to keep the servers up and having no GMs patrolling the game to stop those damn hackers and dupers. IT SHALL BE MAGNIFICENT! At least as much as GMS can be. Which isn’t very much, considering the multinational conglomerate that is Nexon focuses almost all their time, effort and resources on the Asian versions. I’m still waiting for those epic JMS weapons that summon bosses to kick ass and clear screens.

    • couldnt agree more. Im so tired of all the “ANOTHER NEW CLASS?! OMG RAGE” I love new classes coming out, its fun to me. And i love exploring the different skill builds, the different areas, and having more options than “just the original adventurers” Maplestory would be pathetically bored if they had just kept the original classes -_-

      • I’m not one of those people, I’m just saying it sucks because it’s glitched and totally unoriginal.
To add on to that, just look at 4th job! There are at least 3 skills that are just passive advanced skills of skills received in previous advancements.

      • Yeah I agree this class just seems like a buffed up dawn warrior. I mean all the classes before this had at least something original.

Soon we’ll be able to play Gaga and Horntail classes 😀

    • Gotta agree with Shakar96, its noting original. At least demon slayer had some originality to it. but this class? its just a beefed up hero with mobility. actually, its what all warriors should of received, but nope, instead of revamping, they decided to pour all the skills the warriors needed into this “new class”.

I guess we’ll all have to wait for the next 4 class to finish before there is any hopes of an warrior revamp… because drk desperately needs one -_-

  2. Looks pretty fun to me.

Although it’ll probably hit GMS in late 2012/Early 2013 since they’re so behind. No Phantom yet…

    • No they are right on scheduled, GMS is currently 5 months behind KMS, it use to be 6 months a few months ago.
Shakar you say the class is overall suck?
Wow you must have played this class thoroughly, even though it currently glitched, to make such a bold conclusion as always.

      • Maybe he’s saying the class sucks BECAUSE it’s glitched? But seriously, how many times this year is Nexon gonna break cutscenes? They never learn…

      • Sorry, I must of been off. So annoying watching the new content roll in in KMS while GMS gets crummy “exclusive” updates that add new bugs and ruin good parts of the game.

    • How are we so behind? We’re only 5 months behind KMS. It used to be 6 months. The reason we’re not getting Phantom yet is because it’s not even THREE months since KMS release!

    • obviously GMS is behind KMS. GMS has to wait to receive the info from KMS and then proceed to translate and prep all the data for GMS release.

      • I think he meant the Character Card Effect o-o

I’ve been told it’s “Ignore Monster Defense x%” Dunno what %…

      • as kaii stated, i’m asking about the character card system one :D!.. like.. buccaneer giving out 5 damage per level for the SS rank card.

  3. If you login using your Nexon id onto one maple account can you login to another maple account tied to the same Nexon id on another computer/client?

    • This branch of jobs is the original cygnus knights… it has nothing to do with other branches. Although it looks like a branch i really hope that they do not do this to every single cygnus knight it would be horrible…

  4. look ok to me and shakar can u teach me hot to make blog and i want my own blog too, also this character quit lacking att skill @,@, too many passive >.<

  5. so this is a new branch of koc jobs..
i mean.. what would happen to the current koc jobs?
stay the same? or upgrade it with this new one?

  6. I really hate how they degraded Intrepid Slash into a 3rd job skill. And Intrepid Slash is suppose to be a skill unique to Hero. Even if they want to use the same multiplier, at least change the animation…. jeez….

  7. This looks like a really boring job… but… I’m really excited about the backstory that will hopefully be revealed from playing this class! This is Evan’s farm, isn’t it? That’s got me really curious…

  8. Besides making normal KoC pointless this looks fun. No one really plays KoC anyways and only wind archers are good now so i guess that does not really matter. Also, does this mean we can get level 40 empress’s blessing if we get our mihile to 200?

  9. so…. a class that can ks beginning from first job…
then get troll driver at lvl30, was bad enough when dawn warrior got it at lvl70 f7
and they get flash jump tat actually jump from midair instead of the ground like what he(Mihile) taught the other dawn warriors

  10. Ty Shakar~

Since this new job provides the Empress’ Blessing.. Does that mean we’ll get more than 24att from the Empress Buff? *o*

  11. So basically KMS is doing an onmake of the Heroes through the Cygnus Knights now…

What’s next? Explorer Teachers? Resistance Teachers?

  12. sooo… do you have access to these new “heroes” through the cygnus knights or are they an entirely new job….. I kinda got attached to my nw but if it comes to Eckhart and nw, Eckhart wins……

  13. first of all guy that posted SS3 with the hawkeye class is a total moron because in kms pirates lost transformation

This class seems pretty cool to be quite honest

Shakar your a moron because those events looked sweet, one included a cool looking sword and u said nothing about it, only the hat we all already knew about

  14. I’m sorry Nexon, I put up with all your bulls*** classes like Dual Bladers and Cannoneer which appear out of no where with little revelence to the mainstory line but I’m drawing the line at this “Mihile” class.

What is the point of making a Cygnus anymore? Blessing…? It completely undermines the previous classes and as a whole is an unnecessary addition to the other 9000 classes added.

Look at those skills… Holy charge, Intrepid Slash…? Devs getting even lazier it seems.

I sincerely hope that is sarcasm… “Obvious from that start”… Obvious… from…the start? Based upon what signs? Seems like a baseless claim to me. Sure we have 5 instructors too: Athena Piece, Dances with Balrogs, Dark Lord etc, doesn’t mean we need an additional 5 “hero” classes to make the previous classes redundant?

“Solves the biggest problem” <— Unless these classes permanently replace Cygnuses with old KoC being updated into these new 5, seems like a bandaid solution to me.

Well, there may be job instructor classes once they get through the cygnus instructors, thief resistance and pirate legend. But whenever there’s an NPC class, it’s always going to be a new job. No NPC class has ever replaced the original its based on.

“Unless these classes permanently replace Cygnuses with old KoC being updated into these new 5, seems like a bandaid solution to me.”

It’s a bandaid solution because surgery is too complicated. It’s easier to make a new job that solves the problems with the original knight classes than to REPLACE ALL THE KNIGHT CLASSES! It’s about practicality. Nexon has more important things to allocate resources towards. Like GMS. It’s a steaming pile of crap and could really use some love.

    • “Because surgery is too complicated” – Hardly, simply raise cygnus level cap, give them these new skills and call it a “Revamp”.

Sadly Nexon Korea Devs only really develop new stuff for KMS, so they pretty much don’t allocate ‘their’ resources towards GMS. NexonNA however…. look at their attempt at GMS-Unique content…the more they love, the more it steams.

  16. The thing I see with this is that Nexon is buying time for the last pirate hero
By releasing these “re-skinned” classes people can’t really complain about them not releasing new classes. It keeps the players occupied while they spend time working on the new, hopefully original, class.

I would have loved to see the new cygnus instuctor class as maybe a new Ultimate Adventurer. Like get a cygnus knight to 120 and be offered to make these classes. This might be unfair but it’ll let the cygnus knight classes alive.
Since when these classes come out, the old KoC are going to be obsolete.

  18. “Since when these classes come out, the old KoC are going to be obsolete.”

Bishops have long since become obsolete, but that doesn’t stop people from playing them.

    • Everything a Dawnwarrior can do, Mihile can do better.

Bishops have HS and various other useful party skills which (as of now) other classes don’t have.

  19. i absolutely hate how its gender locked. the reason im mad is that the wind archer glass will probably be gender locked 😦 i dont wanna play as a girl.

  22. According to your post Shining Buster is better than Soul Slash in every way possible. Larger damage per monster and more monsters damaged. The difference is huge percentage-wise too. So why did you say get Soul Slash maxed when Shining Buster is better than it in every way plus is needed maxed for a skill in the next job? Seeing the specs it doesn’t seem like Soul Slash even has AoE on it or anything.

  24. why do all the dawn warrior people look like one of those evil knights from the empress pq where u have to kill the evil-fied versions of the cygnus job instructors. 0_o
