That was an unexpected patch… Just yesterday we saw a preview of this patch, now it’s out in the test server!

There were a LOT of changes. So many that I wouldn’t be surprised if I wont be using the computer for the next few days… I spent around 10 hours on this post and I’m still not done -_-“.

Anyway, I’ll show you the changes right now. Keep in mind that most of the icons are place holders, so it’s not me who made a mistake.

Also, each skill has sick effects right now! Unfortunately, I was unable to extract them today but I’ll have them ready as soon as possible.

  • Like Zakum, multiple parties can now enter Horntail.

  • Akyrum fight was made easier. He doesn’t attack as frequently and also his summons’ HP were reduced. Damage was also lowered. Changes:

Level: 136 -> 120

Prison Guard Rhino
HP: 1,900,000 -> 500,000

Akyrum
Level: 140 -> 120
HP: 210,000,000 -> 168,000,000

Prison Guard Ani
HP: 42,500,000 -> 60,000,000

  1. By the way, are you sure Paralyze’s range was decreased? Other sites state that the range was increased, plus I can’t imagine Nexon would nerf an already pathetic range for a skill that’s supposed to hit 8 enemies.

    • IIRC, the RB x value was increased from 10 to 20. So, the attack would hit monsters starting from 20 pixels in front of you rather than 10.
      I don’t know, I’ll double check that tomorrow.

  2. Shakar we’ve seen the animations. It’s all great, but why did they remove super transformation and demolition? Let us know if the korean buccaneers are feeling these uneasy changes=( I mean, how do we activate super transformation now?

      • Can you notify us if this beginner skill is some transformation switcher or something of that nature. I mean, check this, our super transformation gave us 30 att, but now that it is gone we don’t have this awesome look and buff. I mean, mental clarity only gives us like 25 att, which is pretty much debuffing this class, my class=( Hopefully there is good news in your future reports Shakar.

    These were moved from 4th job to 3rd job.

    What skills replace what in this revamp?(EG If I have Shadow Stars 30, what skill would I have maxed after revamp. I know we get SP reset just wondering to prepare for mastery books.) Is it just me or does this revamp kinda suck for Nightlords just compare the numbers and you will see that they have the weakest main attacking skill, than I just thought perhaps the others attack slower but I watched some videos and they attack really fast aswell.

  4. I’m pretty satisfied with the changes but what I’m wondering the most now is, lets say i have almost all my skills mastered, do i have to get the mastery books for ALL of them again?

    Or is there any event that let you pick a 100% mastery skill like they did with previous revamps or some of the skills like quad throw for example which replaces Triple throw if i had at 30 already do this mean i would have Quad 30 when the patch arrive? because it would suck to get all the books again they tend to go way too overpriced when this happens. i got most of my night lord skills mastered.

    I would also want to know if the skills indeed get their mastery from skills they replace, which one replaces what? so i can know what skill should i master and what one should I ignore you get the idea? like how Dark Knights maxed Achilles knowing it was gonna become Dark Impale to avoid having to buy the book (they got an event anyway) but in this case I’m seeing too many skill changes and i doubt Nexon is going to give an event to max them all.

  5. Piercing Arrow has no damage increase/decrease. 520×3 = 1560

    • Enemies inside the smokescreen will take additional crit damage. Not sure if this only applies to the caster, or characters partied with the caster as well.

    why make dualblader suck now 😦
    shadowers have a skill thats exactly like phantom blow…
    gives everyone sudden raid…..
    and pirate ship is gone 😦

    i guess now that they made it unfair for dualblades…
    i guess all my hopes is left to the thief hero…. if its bad then idk…

    • Lol and was DualBlade a fair for other thiefs before?
      No it was not , and its normal in mmo game , today class A rise , tomorrow class B rise.

  7. The only changes I don’t like are that Avenger, BoT, Transformation(s), and Batteship were deleted….I thought these skills were some of the best! D:

    And Nexon what sense is it that you put a WIND skill on a darkness thief (Night Walker)?!?!?!?!?

  10. Mechanics will have double dice ? I dont know if mechanics are included when you say “Moved from Cannoneer’s 4th job to all pirates’ 4th job.” because you didnt show in the Resistance area.

  11. So what will be a bucc’s new bossing attack with demo removed? Barrage sucks even more now, and energy blast and dragon strike are nice, but still no bossing move. So what would be the main 1v1 attack? This looks like a nerf for buccs

    • Energy Blast is pretty cool.
      But it’s not a bossing skill. Err, I guess there are none aside from Barrage. Don’t worry, this is only KMST. Nexon will think of that before they release it to KMS.

      • what about that skill where u super transform and some first apper causing like 8 gits or something then u go back to normal… and what nare does begginer skills of transform and battle ship!!

      • Oh sorry, and @ zeko that skill was demolition. The took it out along with transform and snatch and many others. At the moment buccs would have no bossing skill

      • Somehow I don’t think the company that left Dual Blades with Chains of Hell or Upper Stab for bossing for 9 months is going to worry about giving Buccaneers a bossing skill.

    • Nothing, it’s just a beginner skill (it’s meaningless).
      And the weapons… Well… Throughout the Union’s Advance update, towns got revamped. Since Cygnus got its HP lowered and such, maybe Gateway to the Future will be the next town to be revamped? Also remember that new equipment came up with every one of those revamps, so those shiny weapons might be a part of it.
      By the way, uploaded the animation changes for existing skills. New skills, coming soon.

      • I think the new weaps are related to the thief legend. There was an extraction in southperry showing 4 weaps ( Metus, Pinaka, Devil Sunrise, Blue Marine ) only can be equipped by thieves

  18. Okay, look at the skill Endurance, then look around somewhere for a Crusader’s skill called Self Recovery. WHAT THE FUCK IS WITH THAT?!?! A 2nd Job skill for Bucc KILLS a Hero’s 3rd job skill!!! I understand a Bucc needing a skill to that effect to compensate lacking defense, but it’s just plain insulting and stupid to blow a (aside from a complete garbage) 3rd job skill out of the water with that – a mere 2nd Job skill. I mean, Self Recovery was worthless enough as it is, but now they just make Heroes even more dated and outclassed in overall performance.

    • Are you actually complaining about a recovery skill?
      ONE: Buccs have less base HP than heroes, so based on your level, you could be healing similar amounts.
      TWO: “Dude Heroes get ACA, Enrage, and Rage! Buccs only get a 25 att buff which isn’t even on par with rage. Heroes are totally outclassed and outdated, especially considering they were revamped a month ago!”
      THREE: You have one of the best attacking moves in the game, AND you’re complaining about not being good enough.
      Don’t even talk.

      • Judging by your name your first line, I’m going to be redundant and say that you’re a complete moron.
        ONE: Your argument is completely invalid because it would take a Buccaneer to have 2000 HP for it to exactly equal Self Recovery with Endurance; anything past that will proceed to overkill it. So unless Buccs have 2000 HP the entire game, they’re going to do pretty darn better than Heroes. Do some math, because we all know you can’t.
        TWO: Why you quoted is beyond me. You’re, now excuse my language, a complete dumbass because you omitted a very important part of my statement: “overall performance”. Damage isn’t everything. By the by, the only reason Rage got buffed to 30 was so it WOULDN’T be on par with your silly little Buccaneer Bootleg Rage. Don’t insult me.
        THREE: What skill would that be? Brave Slash and Panic are good enough, but certainly not close to the best. The kicker is that you’re the idiot who thinks I’m complaining because damage is all I want. My point is that the classes need to be THOROUGHLY balanced, not this hack job done by some metaphorical butchers.
        Get your pathetic and weak arguments out of here.

    How come some of the Skills shown in the Thief/Pirate Preview document are NOT in the KMST notes, videos?

    If you look at the Assassin skills in the Preview, several of them are lacking.

    What that mean? that the 150% is bad distributed or that 150% level is not really 150%?

    On the other note, i saw the BaM table and noticed second job have 7 left over SP… i know that is imposible to put that point in another job lvl (from 2 to 3, for example)… But… that could mean there is a new skill comming? or what!? Well, all this changes are still in KMST (i think) so i can still spect some changes, no?

    • Means that, for example, if you had 10% at level 1 it’s now 8% at level 1, but at max level it will be the same.
      As for battle mages, a new skill will probably be added.

  30. I was calculating points for the Thief portion of the list and I was wondering how many points it will take to max one side of the book
    e.g. Sins would use only NB, DS, (L7), and Haste
    Or more simply put, you usually get 61 points for the 1st job, by the current numbers displayed, it would take 65 points to max the 4 above mentioned skills.
    can you provide any numbers regarding to skill levels on these skills?

  31. Shakar, I’m pretty sure that Venom and Triple Throw are moved to 3rd job, not from it. It wouldn’t make sense to have 2 attacking skills that are essentially the same in the same job
