About time AfterShock finally hit GMS, months after KMS. Since it’s a pretty big update, I will explain everything that’s going on.

For every 5 levels that you level your Cygnus, you level it up by 1. Also, this does not stack with the Blessing of the Fairy skill. It will only work with the skill with the most SP in. What’s so good about this skill is that it’s much easier to raise. To get 20 SP on Blessing of the Fairy, you need to get to level 200. To get 20 SP on this skill, however, you only need to get to level 100. That’s the same ATK boost, and if you get your Cygnus to level 120, you get 24 ATK boost!
Other buffs for the Cygnus
At level 120, Cygnuses get the following two skills:
Description: You can equip items with a higher level than your current level.
Allows you to equip items 10 levels higher than your current level.
Description: MaxHP and MaxMP are permanently increased when this skill is acquired.
MaxHP and MaxMP +20%
You might have heard all this talk about UA’s (Ultimate Adventurers). If you don’t know what they are, I’ll explain.
Basically, UA’s are like normal adventurers. Their benefits, however, are:
- Start at level 50.
- Get free really good clothes, the Fine set at level 50 and the Brilliant set at level 70.
- Get the Empress’s Might skill, so they can wear clothes 10 levels higher than them.
- Get 1 SP in their special Cygnus Skill automatically.
To create one, you must have a level 120 Cygnus. To create it, you’ll have to do a quest. You don’t need to do any of the Cygnus quests, all you need is the Captain Medal. In the quest, you’ll need to get 10 Peridots from Harps/Blood Harps. Those are really rare so be patient. After you get those, return to Ereve and finish the quest.
Yay you can now create your Ultimate Adventurer!
Note that you may only have one per Cygnus and that if you delete it, you can’t make one again. Also note that you can create a UA of ANY job. So for example, a Thunder Breaker can make a Warrior UA.
Now I know you are all eager about the Cygnus skills. You will receiver one according to your class (again, not your Cygnus’ class, your UA’s class).

As an Ultimate Adventurer, you get 1 SP in it when your character is made (level 50) and then you do the quests that normal adventurers do at 80+ every ten levels to put SP in (more info about the quests coming soon). The other thing I’m sure you are interested in are the clothes. The clothes have a special effect:
When you equip 4 or more: +100 HP/MP, +50 Weapon/Magic DEF.
When you equip 5 or more (well, all of them): + 6 all stats, + 5 Weapon/Magic ATT, +100 Weapon/Magic DEF, +20 speed.
Now for the equips:
Remember, UA’s can wear clothes 10 levels higher than them, so they get the Fine set, which is for level 60, at level 50 and the Brilliant set, which is for level 80, at 70.
Will say ‘s Successor.
+2 Weapon ATT
+2 Magic ATT
Now for the Brilliant (level 80, which you get at 70) set:
Other Cygnus-Related Stuff
Dew that Shinsoo at Ereve drinks. It contains moonlight.
You can get those from Desert Rabbits ( or ). Please note that the drop rate is EXTREMELY LOW, and actually I’ve been hunting there for many levels on my dual blader and never got even one.
If you do, though, you’ll get one of the Cygnus skills that were discussed above.
Every ten levels you’ll get a quest to put another SP in it. I don’t know much about the quests since I haven’t done it yet, but when I do, I’ll be sure to tell you.
Chryse, or the Floating Island Of Chryse, is a new area for levels 55-70 (you can enter up to 75, but the quests are up to 70). Before I start, I’ll give you some background information.
- The monsters’ levels are between 55-62 (excluding the boss).
- The monsters do a HIGH damage (around 400~500!) and give mediocre EXP (terrible for KMS, so for GMS, even worse!).
- Chryse is basically a storyline like Mushroom Kingdom.
- Although I did it on every one of my characters that I created after it came to KMS, I do not encourage doing it. It’s a waste of time and gives little EXP.
Since I’ve done it so many times, I can guide you through the quests. Before we start, let me explain some more things. The maps go like this:
Monster -> Monster + Gold Version of it -> Gold Version of it
The Gold Version of the monster is 1 level higher than the normal version.
Here’s a map of Chryse I designed (not the official, the offical will come a few patches after Chaos):
I’ll start from the real beginning, though.
To enter Chryse, you must talk to Ericsson () at Orbis: Orbis Park. He’ll give you a quest and you’ll go to the map Path of Chryse where you have wings and you’ll just fly up. Talk to Demos () to complete the quest.
Marione will want you to kill 50 Gerbils. Return to Outside of Chryse 1 and kill them. Continue to pick up their teeth and once you kill 50, complete his quest. You will get another quest from him.
He wants you to kill 50 Golden Gerbils:
[The monsters’ stats are just to show you how bad they are, there’s almost no EXP difference between the 55 and 56 one, but there is a HP value difference. Any other monsters’ stats are not posted here, but will be posted if anyone asks :D]
To do so, go to the map Outside of Chryse 2 where there are both Gerbils and Golden Gerbils. Keep picking up the Gerbil’s Fangs and also pick up Golden Gerbil’s Capes (). Keep training there until you get 150 Gerbil’s Fangs and if you don’t have 150 Golden Gerbil’s Capes, move on to Outside of Chryse 3. Once you have 150 of each, go back and complete the quest.
The Next Few Quests
He will want 50 Fangs/Capes and then 100 more. Should be no problem, since we already got them.
No shortcuts here, go train at Lawless Zone 1.
Once you’re done, return to him to get your second quest.
No shortcuts here either, go train at Lawless Zone 2.
Once you’re done, return to him and finish the quest. You will get another quest now…
Time to get out of Chryse… Michael wants you to get 50 Star Pixie’s Starpieces (), 50 Lunar Pixie’s Moonpiece (), and 50 Luster Pixie’s Sunpieces () from Star Pixies (), Lunar Pixies (), and Luster Pixies (). Should be easy enough. When you are done, return to Michael and he’ll give you another quest.
Third Through Sixth Quest
To do so, go to Road to Coliseum 1 and hunt them until you have 150 spears.
After completing this quest, you’ll get another quest to get 100 spears. Since you already got 150, you should just complete it.
For the next quest you’ll have to go to Road To Coliseum 3 and hunt 100 Golden Phenecs () and get 50 Golden Phenec’s Shields (). Get 150, however, because just like the previous quest, you’ll need 100 more afterwards.
After completing those two quests (the 50 and the 100 ones), you will get a quest from Titan.
Oh my gosh, the old wise man speaks. He wants you to go to enter Coliseum. Simply keep going right until you reach the Coliseum Corridor 1 map, right after the Coliseum Entrance:
[An old picture of me at the Coliseum Entrance]
Go back to Titan and complete his quest. Now you are back to Michael who will give you the next quests.
Michael’s Next Two Quests
Now, you are almost done!
The Final Quests
Michael will want you to go face Xerxes. Michaela will want his necklace.
To fight Xerxes, go all the way to the right to Inside The Coliseum map. You’ll need 2~4 people (level 55~75) to fight Xerxes. The fight is pretty annoying, he has many different curses. Just how the entrance is similar to Mushroom Kingdom, so are the drops. Xerxes drops the 5 weapon boxes just like the Mushroom Kingdom boss, along with Xerxes’s Necklace (), which you’ll need for Michaela’s quest. NOTE: Xerxes only drops ONE necklace so spam Z (or whatever…)!
The boss MAY drop Michaela’s Glasses (), which add 2 STR/DEX/INT/LUK, 50 HP/MP, 150 Avoidability, and 5 slots. It may also drop Michael’s Glasses (), which add the same thing except, instead of 150 Avoidability, it adds 150 Accuracy. They’re EXTREMELY RARE though.
And yes, they ARE karmable!
Once you finish all the quests, talk to Titan. He will give you what you did this whole thing for, a useless medal, the Chryse Savior Medal.
After finishing everything, Marione will give you an optional quest that’s repeatable. He wants you to kill 100 of every gold monster, and as a reward, he’ll give you a Chryse Salvation Box (), which you can get pots and such. I only got pots every time I did it so don’t waste your time.
I suggest you don’t do Chryse at all, IMO it’s a waste of time unless you want the 100 HP/MP boost that the Mushroom Kingdom Guardian Medal doesn’t give.
Von Leon + New Guild System
Well, I am not so familiar with those because I was always too nooby, so I’ll just explain the background.
The new guild system pretty much encourages new guilds and boosts guilds in general. It is now cheaper to create a guild and much easier (you only need 1 person). The only thing you need to pay for are the guild skills. Also, you can pass guild leadership.
Since I’m too lazy to explain it in detail, for NOW just visit Nexon’s full explanation.
Von Leon, Lion King’s Castle
As I said before, I’m not so familiar with Castle of Lionheart (Lion King’s Castle…). I can tell you the background though.
Castle of Lionheart is an area of very strong bosses who give high EXP. The area is for levels 120+. Some things you need to keep in mind:
- There’s a storyline and there are quests.
- The best way to train is with a party of 6; if you do, you’ll get 250% EXP!
- There’s a strong boss, Von Leon, at the end.
The maps of Lion King’s Castle can be found here (in all honesty, I was too lazy to list them all myself, along with the monsters).
Anyway, I’ll explain the boss.
To enter, you need to be level 120+. You will get 1 hour to fight the boss. The boss:
The problem with this boss, there’s a pot cooldown. That’s why it’s so unbeatable, along with its damage (20k!!).
It’s pretty hard, but it was defeated in GMS pretty quickly:
When you defeat Von Leon you also get some coins. You need to purify them, though. In order to do so, you’ll need 100 Purification Totems () to get a gold one or 50 to get a silver one. You can get Purification Totems from LHC monsters and Ani , which is described bellow. Once purified, you can trade them into Von Leon Equips (again, currently lazy but maybe later :P).
I don’t think it’s worth it, since in KMS there was an event in which you can get them from a gacha-like thing. I bet GMS will have a gacha event sooner or later~
Video coming soon :P, rendering takes a LONG time.
Every sharp hour (the time is XX:00, but I also think there are certain hours), if you are level 70+, you will get a red envelope above your head.
Double-click it and Luden will talk to you. He’ll ask you to fight the Guard Ani boss. You will be sent to a waiting room map:
You get 20 minutes, and the place has pot cooldown. If you die, you can pot as much as you want in the map.
If you stay at the blue rock, your HP and MP are healed so you shouldn’t die so easily.
You will be paired off with the following boss.
Prison Guard Ani
The boss drops a box that gives Purification Totems that I explained above (needed for Von Leon equips) why necessary. You can also get Purification Totems from the other Guard Ani’s in LHC.
Yeah that’s pretty much it for this update, just wait for the next update, CHAOS.
Feel free to ask any questions you have below!
You MAY post it on other websites. However, don’t forget to link it back here (shakar96.wordpress.com)!
